I was born on June 22nd, 1998, and have been pursuing art practically ever since. I grew up just a few miles away from the University of Georgia in a family of English Literature majors and admirers of the humanities who ensured that analysis of storytelling was always a significant part of my life. In my sophomore year of high school I was given my first camera: a tiny silver Canon ELPH, which I quickly found myself taking everywhere to film as much as I could. The videos I made then were crude and very silly at times, but the intent behind them to articulate my perceptions of the world was always present.

Eventually, I would go on to study English Literature and Entertainment  Media Studies at UGA, and I am incredibly thankful for having the privilege to do so. In my English classes, I studied rigorously to understand the visions of a diverse range of authors. In my film classes, I spent many laborious hours planning and putting together video projects. Having such a strong background in writing has compelled me to ensure that the metaphorical backbone of each script I work on is heavily embraced in every area of production, from the prop list to the fonts chosen for credits.

To this day I continue to film my observations, just as I did when I was a teenager, but now my subjects are increasingly more challenging, and I myself increasingly am a bit more ambitious, more passionate, and more alert. Jorge Luis Borges, one of my favorite authors, had a strange belief that history imitates art—not the other way around. Like him, I find that the world speaks to us in ways that can only be deciphered by metaphors, and the multi-faceted nature of film makes it the best vehicle to do so in the modern age. Borges wrote of intimate and infinite pathways of imagination made real by art in "The Garden of Forking Paths", and I vow both as a creator as well as a spectator to follow every such path as far as it can go, no matter how impossible it seems.
